HID Headlight

Why do some models high beam 1 bulb light up and another not after 10 minutes for Car Headlight?

Why do some models high beam 1 bulb light up and another not after 10 minutes for Car Headlight?

Principle: It is caused by insufficient starting current. The current of HID starts needs about 8.5A, (stable to about 3.5A after one to two minutes), and the current design of the original car headlight line is 5.5A-6.5A. Therefore, there will be insufficient starting current, so that only one set of HID lamps can get enough starting current, so there is a situation of one light and one off, which will occur in some high-end models.

Automotive bulbs Solution:

1. Install a set of relay lines to supply power directly from the storage battery.
2. Check if the contact between the 12V input of the ballast and the socket is loose. This situation will cause the HID to be insufficiently powered due to vibration during the driving process.

3. The HID lights are high-pressure gas discharge lamp. The high-voltage protection circuit is added to the ballast. In the case of abnormal conditions, the ballast will automatically cut off the power supply to ensure the safety of the vehicle and the vehicle. After the abnormal situation is removed, the power is turned back on. The ballast will work normally. If the problem has not been solved, the ballast can be mailed back to our company for re-adjustment to check the reason.
